Frequently asked questions
APPLIANCES
What does "sold as is" mean?
“Sold as is” is an expression used in sales to specify that the item is sold in its current condition, without warranty or modification on the part of the seller. This means that the buyer agrees to purchase the product in the exact condition in which it is found, with all its defects, without the seller being responsible for any problems or imperfections that may subsequently arise.
Where do our appliances come from?
We have the opportunity to offer exclusive appliances that are, among other things, returns from manufacturers or distributors, showroom models, end-of-line models or open boxes.
Why do your appliances sell for less if they're not used?
Our goal is to offer you the best prices, allowing you to benefit from discounts ranging from 10% to 30% compared to the standard prices advertised by the major retailers. In addition, the majority of our products are sold “as is”, which means that some units may present slight aesthetic imperfections or be considered “open-box”, and must therefore be sold at a reduced price.
What is a product marked "Open box"?
In the same vein as “new and unpacked”, this refers to a device that has been opened at some point, for a number of reasons:
Customer returns: If the box has been opened and returned by a customer on the same day as delivery, and the product is in its original, unused condition, it will also be considered as opened.
Showroom: The product may have been displayed in the store, removed from its box for closer examination. However, it has not been used and is still considered new.
Retailer inspection: Sometimes, sales associates or retailers may open a product’s box to check its contents or condition before selling it.
What is a product marked "Refurbished"?
A product marked as “Refurbished” is an item under warranty that has been previously used, then restored to near-new condition by a specialist. Refurbished products can come from a variety of sources, including customer returns, faulty items that have been repaired, in-store demonstrations or overstock.
The refurbishing process includes several steps that our technicians will take care of:
Inspection: The product is carefully examined to identify problems, signs of use and damage.
Repairs: Any necessary repairs are carried out to restore the product to its optimum operating condition.
Cleaning: The product is thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, dust and traces of previous use.
Replacing defective parts: Parts found to be defective are replaced with new or repaired parts.
Testing: The product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure that it functions correctly and meets quality standards.
Reconditioned: The product is reconditioned in new packaging or in its original packaging after being restored.
Why buy a refurbished appliance?
Refurbished products generally offer a good compromise between the quality of a new product and the lower price of a used one.
Besides saving money, are there any other advantages to buying a restored unit?
Yes, buying a refurbished appliance is an ecological and responsible choice! Not only will your bank account benefit, but you’ll also be doing your part for the environment.

► No manufacturer will process a complaint of apparent defect, cosmetic defect or non-conformity if it is submitted to Électroménagers Longueuil after the 48-hour period following delivery.
► When a claim is made by the customer and the apparent defect, aesthetic defect or non-conformity is recognized by Électroménagers Longueuil, the latter may, at its sole discretion, decide to replace the product recognized as defective or to refund the purchase price paid for said good, without any other compensation of any kind whatsoever.
► Électroménagers Longueuil is bound only by the legal warranty provided by the Consumer Protection Act for the appliances sold, excluding any other conventional or legal warranty.

► The warranty will be rendered null and void if the product is not installed by a professional with a valid R.B.Q. license and invoice.

Defective item? Problem with your order? Exchange or refund request?
All sales are final.
Électroménagers Longueuil does not grant any refund to customers after acceptance of delivery. However, if there is a problem with the item purchased at the time of delivery or if the item does not match the description given on the Site, the Purchaser may, as soon as possible after receiving the item, request an exchange or refund by contacting our after-sales service department.
If circumstances justify it, Electroménagers Longueuil will apply its refund or exchange policy. In the case of a refund, the amount charged to the Buyer’s credit card by Electroménagers Longueuil for the purchase of the returned good will be credited as soon as possible. In the event of an exchange, Electroménagers Longueuil will offer the Purchaser a product of the same nature and of an equal or higher cost.
If Électroménagers Longueuil accepts to take back a delivered item, a credit note will be issued to the customer equivalent to the price paid for the unit, including taxes. If an invoice is cancelled for items not yet delivered, a credit note will be issued for the value of the deposit paid by the customer, up to the total amount of the invoice if it had been paid in full.
Exceptionally, a refund may be granted, but a restocking fee equivalent to 25% of the invoice amount, including taxes, will be deducted from the amount refunded. In addition, the cost of returning the item will be borne by the customer.
